Crotin 1897 produces this unique white wine from the Bussanello grape, a cross between Furmint and Riesling Italico developed by Professor Dalmasso at the University of Torino in the 1930s. Crotin 1897 is the sole producer of a wine made entirely from this grape. The winery planted one hectare of organically grown Busanello in 2003, and the wine made from it recently earned the "Piemonte Bussanello DOC" designation. Vinified in stainless steel tanks, it offers a medium body, elegant aromas, intriguing herbal nuances, and pronounced minerality.
